Back in 2016, I was taking a digital photography course at Drexel University. One day a professor went inside and announced that there was some used equipment that was free to take. Everybody went out and took something.

I was able to grab a Minolta Maxxum 5xi 35 mm camera body. I thought it was cool, but it didn't come with a lens. I kept it on my shelf until 2019 when I finally decided to purchase a 50mm lens and some Ilford HP5 35mm film. I immediately fell in love with the craft. I've been snapping away ever since, and I specifically choose Ilford!
